Do you want to renovate your kitchen but have no idea where to begin? Should you splash out on your budget and get everything brand new or do you just need to update the basics?
On my latest reno project, I used a super effective DIY flat pack from Semble for my new kitchen. I think one of the biggest advantages of using a Semble kitchen is having the ability to get all your parts in one spot online, and you can even see what your kitchen would like with their online kitchen planner! I love playing out a design to see how it fills the space…makes planning a cinch!
The results turned out so well… check out my renovation before and after journey below:
Planning
As you can see from the pictures, my reno project kitchen was super out-dated and lacking space and style (where does the fridge go?)
I designed the space to scale and played around with different footprints on the Semble website to see how I could create a modern kitchen within budget. The option to work around form vs function and see the effect of layout vs budget instantly is a massive plus!
After sifting through loads of colours, I finally found my perfect shade and finish – white, who would have guessed? – plus some timber and gorgeous gold touches.
P.S: if you’re as indecisive as me, you can always change your design and visualize it in 3D before committing to the footprint (or ask a Semble designer kitchen expert!)
Installation
Okay so obviously, this wasn’t my first time putting in a new kitchen, but I know I have many readers who are renovation rookies! So believe me when I say, it doesn’t get much easier than Semble.
Each part came boxed up individually and easily marked to make assembling the kitchen so easy! The cabinets are all screwed and dowled and the required drilling and cutting is pre-done at their factory.
The immediate live pricing feature on the Semble website also made it so easy to control my budget from start to finish and is a huge advantage when starting a new project!
Results
I love this new kitchen! The cabinetry is fresh and contemporary but still goes so well in this older home. I’m so pleased at how much time and money I saved by reducing my renovation timeframe.
If you’re looking for a complete range of Australian-made cabinets, tools and accessories then check out Semble’s products online and start planning your dream kitchen today.
