Changing Rooms Episode 2 Recap

Changing Rooms Australia was back with episode 2 and we had an ensuite and laundry renovation – two small but super important spaces!

Let’s start with Tim’s designs for the yellow team, Adam and Renee. Wow, Tim really went hard core on the green!

Some stand outs in the master bedroom for me were the functional elements. The bedhead was a beautiful size and concept. It was smart to have the pendant light switches integrated into either side of it.

I love the organic freeze of the bedding and the relaxed way it was styled.

Poor Adam from Team Blue really missed the mark with his artwork but thumbs up for trying!

I thought the bathroom layout was lovely and wow, Tim took it high end with over 60% of his budget in there!

Some really clever ideas for storage and certainly an improvement of what Renee called a ‘bathroom held together by mould’.

Over to Jane’s laundry makeover – I loved it! I was impressed with her flexibility for the design change to add in the fridge (and the amazing Brad naturally helped her achieve that).

I actually loved the cabinet colour and thought it brought an exotic element to the space but at the same time kept it fresh.

The idea of the removable wallpaper as art and a removable frame is a great way to show people how they can change their art all the time!

When you look at the old compared to the new, you are really blown away. It goes to show just how colour can create an epic transformation – team this with great ideas and look what you could do to your laundry.
